Barcelona

I received my Best Models: Barcelona Barbie doll today. One look at her and I fell head-over-heels in love. She comes dressed in a sage green outfit, matching green shoes, green sunglasses and beautiful silver earrings. Her hair is a deep blonde, center parted, it falls to a little above her waist.

There is a silver chain around the hot pants. It matches her earrings and is very pretty. The outfit has snap closures in the back, it is not lined but of good quality overall. My only issue with this ensemble is that the shoes fit too tightly on her feet, it was quite difficult to take them off her.

The second outfit consists of a white shoes, jeans, a beige top and sage green jacket. The jeans is mid-calf length and well fitting with snap closures in the back. The top is of stretchy material with snaps in the back. There is nice detailing with sequins on the neckline. The jacket is well made as well. Again, none of these are lined, but very nice in look and feel.

The third set of clothes consists of a pink dress, a matching bag, glasses and shoes. I love this one, it is lined, and while not impeccable it is very beautiful. The material is light, the print is very soft and muted and the cut is very flattering to the MM body.

I did find a few issues worth noting here -

As I mentioned before, the shoes she comes dressed in are hard to take off her feet ... very very hard. Secondly, the thread that ties her glasses to her head had stained the dolls hair. I have to try to wash her hair and see if the stain goes off. Lastly, her stand was bent and twisted which makes it very difficult to make her stand straight.

The bottomline: she is gorgeous and a must have if you are into the Mattel Models. Also, the clothes are very good for mix and matching, especially if you get her on sale.
