This new skin tone is much paler than what we are used to in Pierre De Vries, but none-the-less a very enigmatic look to this new Pierre.  He comes with all you see here, a red hot, more like bright orange, coat; gray pinstripe slacks, a very different looking belt for the coat, sunshades, and black and white shoes with the craftsmanship we love on the Hommes' shoes.  Underneath it all there is a navy blue sweater which is the first new top I’ve see for the guys, truly nice indeed... very Ralph Lauren.

The belt has a clasp and eye, breaks away from any regular belt ever used for the Homme dolls, and makes it unique and non-traditional.  You can also see a close-up of the jacket fabric.

The shoes are quite nice: “patent leather” shiny, he is ready to swoon the gals, and dance the night away with this black and white pair.

When I saw him in the box, I thought his neck was wrong.  Of all the Homme dolls, his neck looks over-extended like a Llama or an ostrich.  Sounds mean, right? Well I discovered after taking him out and moving his head, he has very moveable one (more than any of the new 3 Homme dolls that arrived for my birthday) which is something many collectors didn't like from the first Homme collections; they had limited head/neck movement up and down.

He has the same hairstyle as  “Power Couple” Francisco, but it's the same flat top cut like “Rule Breaker” Pierre which to me needed more length to recreate the prototype.  I was hoping the haircut would be done just like the one spotted at the FAO event back in February ’08, but I'm sure for production reasons it was easier to just do one line all around the head and root him this way after the flocking.  Just one minor detail that I wish wasn't there.  So, he is left with one length hair and not much to do for a side wave.

You truly have to fight to put his coat over the sweater.  I finally did it by taping the sweater's sleeves to the hands with surgical tape (which is not that hard to take off) -- if you don't do it that way and the sleeves roll up you won't be able to close and hook the coat.  The outfit, to me, lacks a few details but it would have made it bulgier none-the-less, like a belt.  Accessories like a cigarette lighter, a pen, or cell phone to put all the ladies numbers would have been nice, and they forgot a watch --he needs one to keep up with all his dates!

Over all the doll itself has a very appealing and high fashion persona, and it's detailed -- I just wanted more.  He is very handsome and a great addition for all you new collectors who would like to try the Homme collection.

For me, he is an 8 out of 10.
